Recap: Lasso Country Music Festival 2026

Lasso Country Music Festival has celebrated a milestone third year, delivering its biggest and most successful edition yet on Saturday 11 July 2026 at Distillery Road Market in Eagleby, Queensland.

Headlined by U.S. country star Drake Milligan, Lasso 2026 marked the festival’s first-ever international headline performance and capped off a major Australian tour for Milligan, following headline shows at Corner Hotel, Melbourne (Sold Out) and Liberty Hall, Sydney.

Lasso's headliner brings an impressive list of achievements, including his Top 40 U.S. country hit “Sounds Like Something I’d Do.” His debut full-length album, Dallas/Fort Worth (2022), reached #1 on the iTunes Country and All-Genre charts, was named one of Billboard’s Best Country Albums of 2022.

Joining Drake Milligan was a powerhouse lineup of Australian talent, including The Wet Whistles, Austin Mackay, Tyla Rodrigues, Briana Dinsdale, Michael Honan, Jaydin Shingleton, Riley Ziskey, Jay Santilli, Beau Shearer and Phoebe Rose, with performances across two stages throughout the festival.

Designed as a one-day festival experience for country music fans, Lasso combines major live performances with a convenient location, free parking, premium food and beverage offerings, VIP experiences, and a strong community atmosphere.

With an emphasis on accessibility, community, and an artist-first approach, Lasso continues to carve out a unique place within Australia’s country music landscape, offering a new model for festivals that brings world-class performances closer to where audiences live.

Following the success of 2026, Lasso Country Music Festival will continue building on its vision of delivering unforgettable country music experiences, aiming to continue providing US headliners, while supporting the next generation of Australian artists.
