Beenleigh Artisan Distillery is Australia’s oldest registered distillery, proudly crafting rum on the banks of the Albert River since 1884. More than a spirit, Beenleigh Rum is a tribute to bold Australian enterprise, rich heritage, and true artisan craftsmanship. Still operating from its historic “Big Red Shed” at Distillery Road, the distillery is home to one of the country’s most significant copper pot stills, affectionately known as The Old Copper.
Using pure Queensland rainwater, premium local molasses and a proprietary yeast, Beenleigh’s small team of dedicated distillers oversee every stage of the process — from fermentation and distillation through to long, patient ageing in historic wooden vats.
